Product Description : Ready to assemble Tamiya Electric Handy Drill kit. *THIS IS A TAMIYA HANDY DRILL ASSEMBLY MODEL KIT AND NOT A READY-TO-USE TOOL*; ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED* One 2 mm drill bit and illustrated assembly guide included in this kit. *AARON'S WORKSHOP NOTES: This is a good educational model kit for young adults, and also a functional small drill specifically designed for use with plastic model kits. This kit provides an opportunity to learn about the mechanics of a hand-drill but it's also an useful modeling tool when fully assembled. We put this Tamiya Handy Drill together in our shop, and the process was quite similar to putting together other Tamiya plastic kits. It's not too difficult to complete, and the finished tool worked quite well when we tested it. The drill is powerful enough to drive through plastic but not too powerful to damage delicate plastic parts. The only thing about this kit we didn't like was the trigger lock (it had a tendency to jam the trigger after repeated use), but we got around it by keeping the trigger lock in the permanent unlocking position. If you are looking solely for a ready-to-use handy drill for modeling purposes, we do not recommend this Tamiya assembly kit. This assembly kit includes plastic and metal parts, as well as a small motor (Tamiya Jet-Dash Motor commonly found in Tamiya Racing Mini 4WD cars), and parts are of good quality as one would expect from Tamiya products. To avoid injury, be sure to wear an eye protection goggle when operating this drill or any other power tools.
